Coloring order
- Cover the Temerario's smooth hood, doors and roof in one blue first, and carry the same blue along the crease down the middle of the hood.
- Use a dark color for the hexagon-rimmed openings at the lower corners of the bumper and for the thin, sharp headlights.
- Last, color the black wheels, the flat lip under the front and the seats seen through the glass in dark gray with a few blue lines.
Questions to talk about
- Where have you seen a hexagon shape like the ones on the front?
- What would the wind sound like as this blue car speeds along?
- Do you have a favorite color for your things? Why do you like it?
Take it further
Cut hexagons and triangles from colored paper to make a collage of the car's front, then explain which shape you glued where.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
