Coloring order

  1. Color Noah's black tailcoat and trousers first as the big areas, and use a bold red for the lining flapping behind him.
  2. Match the vest and bow tie in the same red, and color the sparkles at the tip of the wand he holds high in yellow.
  3. Finish with the white dove flying out of the hat and the little twinkles scattered around it, one by one.

Questions to talk about

  • What else could come out of Noah's hat besides a dove?
  • If you waved that wand, what would you make appear or disappear?
  • Have you ever watched a magic trick, or tried one yourself?

Take it further

Hide a tiny drawing under a paper cup, then lift it with a big Ta-da! and put on your own small magic show.

Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
