Coloring order
- Color the fox's orange body and tail first, leaving the white tail tip as plain paper, then the red striped scarf streaming out behind it.
- Use two browns for the wooden sled and its curled runners, and give the green heart mittens a bold color so they pop.
- Last, do the snowman's purple hat and scarf on the right, the pine trees, the snowy hill, the smiling cloud and the red berries.
Questions to talk about
- What do you think the fox shouts as it slides down the hill?
- What will the fox do first when the sled reaches the bottom?
- What winter game have you played outside, or want to try?
Take it further
Lean your body back and forth as if riding a sled, and take turns inventing sled sounds like whoosh and zoom, one at a time.
