- Recommended age
- Ages 4–7
- Estimated time
- 10–20 min
- Difficulty
- Easy
- Areas to color
- about 15
Coloring order
- The Egypt map is one blocky shape, so color it a pale sandy yellow in one wide sweep.
- Color the fennec fox's very large ears pink on the inside and creamy tan outside, then carry on into the body and bushy tail.
- Last, do the teal bow tie, the paw pads, the nose and the eyes in dark colors.
Questions to talk about
- What sounds might those big ears pick up?
- What would the scholar fox like to study?
- How do you keep cool on a hot day?
Take it further
Wear paper fox ears and play quiet-sound hunting: close your eyes and name three small sounds in the room.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
