Coloring order
- On the map of Argentina, color the long land the same sky blue as the flag above, following the shape that is wide at the top and narrow below.
- Color the small island pieces set apart near the bottom a slightly deeper sky blue to tell them from the main land.
- When you finish, remember the yellow sun in the middle of the flag above and dot one yellow spot near the top of the map.
Questions to talk about
- Which looks wider, the top or the bottom of the land?
- If you walked this long land from end to end, how might the weather change?
- Where have you seen the most sky blue?
Take it further
Cut a long paper strip that gets narrower from top to bottom, and compare it with the shape of this land.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
