Questions to talk about

- If it held onto sea grass with its tail, what would the scene look like?
- Have you ever held on tight to something, like a swing or a rope?
Take it further
Wind a piece of string around a pencil, slide it off to make a curl like a seahorse tail, and glue it under the picture.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
