Coloring order

  1. Color the hair and robe flowing down around Keenshade's whole body in pale sky blue and light violet, like ripples.
  2. Use teal for the leaf-shaped pieces floating around the head, and a very pale peach or white for the face and hands.
  3. Last, alternate sky blue and light green for the sleeve ends of the outspread arms and the thin strands drifting below.

Questions to talk about

  • In which direction is the wind blowing Keenshade's long hair?
  • What sound might this flowing robe make as it moves?
  • Has the wind ever blown your hair or clothes around? How did it feel?

Take it further

Hold a thin scarf or long paper strips in both hands, make wind sounds and dance softly like Keenshade's flowing robe.

Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
