Activity guide for this page

Recommended age: Ages 6–9
Estimated time: 25–40 min
Difficulty: Medium
Areas to color: about 120

Coloring order

Start with the middle of Triceron's three heads in dark gray, then match the heads on either side to it.
Color the spiky fur around the necks and ears in orange, and the round swirl patterns on the chest and belly in light gray.
Finally, color the thick claws on all four legs and the fluffy tail tip on the left in brown and deep orange.

Questions to talk about

What expression does each of Triceron's three heads have? Describe them one by one.
If the three heads talked, what would they say to each other?
Have you ever waited by the door for someone at home? How did you feel?

Take it further

Draw a different face on each of three paper cups, tape them to sticks as puppets, and act out Triceron's three heads chatting together.

Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.

Printing and coloring tips

Print on A4 or Letter in portrait to keep the original proportions.
Keep the finished version open beside you while you color.
Use slightly heavier paper with water-based markers so the ink shows through less.
Fill the large areas first and leave the small ones for later.
The finished version is only a suggestion. Any colors you like will work.
