Activity guide for this page
- Recommended age
- Ages 5–8
- Estimated time
- 25–35 min

- Medium
- Areas to color
- about 200
Coloring order
- Begin with Aria's light blue gown, using a slightly different blue for each layered ruffle on the shoulders and sleeves.
- Then color her braided hair, the crown on her head and the little harp in her arms. Gold would suit the harp.
- Last, color the white swan on the lake, the castle on the far shore, the fountain on the right and the reeds by the water.
Questions to talk about
- What song do you think comes out of Princess Aria's harp?
- Where might the swan swim when it hears the music?
- How does your body move when you hear a song you love?
Take it further
Stretch rubber bands of different thicknesses over an open box and pluck them to compare the sounds. Do it with a grown-up and pull gently.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
