Activity guide for this page
- Recommended age
- Ages 4–6
- Estimated time
- 15–25 min
- Difficulty
- Easy
- Areas to color
- about 60
Coloring order
- Color Ddoddo's round body and both raised claws in one red, since they are the biggest parts.
- Use a slightly darker red for the thin legs stretching out to the sides, and black or brown for the eyes and the smiling mouth.
- Last, color the shells and starfish on the sand and the wavy lines up top. A purple starfish looks great against the sand.
Questions to talk about
- What do you think Ddoddo is shouting with its claws up high?
- Why do you think crabs walk sideways? Can we try walking sideways too?
- Have you ever picked up shells on a sandy beach?
Take it further
Stick a line of tape on the floor and sidestep along it with your claws up like Ddoddo. See who can balance on the line the longest.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
