Coloring order

  1. Color Jelly's round bell pink or light purple, leaving the lacy pattern on top white or very pale.
  2. Alternate two purples on the hanging tentacles, and use a dark color and pink for the eyes and cheeks.
  3. Finally fill in the sparkly stars scattered around, the seaweed on both sides and the little fish below with yellow and green.

Questions to talk about

  • If Jelly's body glowed, how would the sea look?
  • Why do you think Jelly's tentacles hang down so long?
  • Have you ever seen a tiny light twinkling on a very dark night?

Take it further

Flip a paper cup upside down as the bell and tape on ribbons or paper strips to make a Jelly mobile. Fan it gently and watch it sway.

Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
