Activity guide for this page
- Recommended age
- Ages 3–6
- Estimated time
- 5–10 min
- Difficulty
- Easy
- Areas to color
- about 5
Coloring order
- Color the wide red band along the bottom first, pulling your crayon sideways across the whole length of the flag.
- Color the small square in the upper left blue, leaving the star the white of the paper and coloring around it.
- Leave the white box in the upper right empty, and at the end check that all five points of the star stayed clean and white.
Questions to talk about
- Where is the blue square, and what is inside it?
- If one star floated alone in the sky, what story would it tell?
- Do you have a quiet game you like to play by yourself?
Take it further
Glue a white star onto a blue square, attach white and red paper to make a flag with the same layout, then try moving the star elsewhere.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
