Coloring order

Color the blue box in the upper left deep blue, leaving the little stars the white of the paper and working carefully around each one.
Along the waving stripes, color every other stripe red and leave the stripes in between white.
Use gray or black for the pole and its round base, then finish with the grass and tiny flowers on the hill in any colors you like.

Take it further

Cut long strips of red and white paper and glue them side by side, counting the stripes as you go, to make your own striped flag.
