Coloring order
- Start with the fox's orange fur and white tail tip, the bunny's white body in the middle and the hedgehog's brown spines to tell the friends apart.
- Color each leaf on the garland they carry together red, orange or yellow, and repeat the same colors in the stripes of their scarves.
- Finally, alternate colors on the acorn baskets at each end, the big maple above, the pumpkins and the leaves scattered on the ground.
Questions to talk about
- Where are the three friends marching in their parade?
- What sound would the leaf garland make as they walk?
- What is your favorite autumn color?
Take it further
Glue paper maple leaves along a string to make a garland, hang it in the room, then hold it together and march in a mini autumn parade.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
