- Ages 6–9
- Estimated time
- 40–60 min

- Challenging
- Areas to color
- about 380
Coloring order
- Start with the bunny, the curly lamb and the yellow duckling, keeping white and cream fur light by shading only the edges.
- Color the brown flower arch above them with its pink and white blossoms and green leaves, then give each basket a different flower color.
- Last, do the tulips and bushes on both sides, the two butterflies, the smiling sun and cloud and the petals drifting on the ground.
Questions to talk about
- Where are the three friends going with their flower baskets?
- What was the first flower or bug you spotted this spring?
- What smell might you notice walking under the flower arch?
Take it further
Cut paper flowers and tape them to a paper arch. Take turns walking under it, naming one flower each time, as a spring greeting.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
