Coloring order
- Color Lobti's body, the big raised claw and the segments of its tail in one orange-red, and keep the lines between segments visible.
- Use yellow and black for the two antennae and the eyes, and dark brown for the small legs below.
- Take your time with the rocks and coral behind and the flower-like anemones in front, coloring them pink, purple and yellow one by one.
Questions to talk about
- What do you think Lobti is protecting with that big claw?
- What might those long antennae be trying to find out?
- If you had a secret hideout, what kind of place would it be?
Take it further
Pinch two fingers together like Lobti's claw and pick up cotton balls one at a time, moving them into a basket. Count how many you carried.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
