Coloring order

  1. Color Bogeul's puffed-up body by alternating lime green and yellow. Making the color lighter from the center outward will make it look rounder.
  2. Dab every spiky thorn along the body in dark green without skipping any, and color the fins on both sides yellow.
  3. Outline the bubbles around in sky blue and finish with the seaweed and coral below in green, orange and pink.

Questions to talk about

  • Why do you think Bogeul puffed up so big?
  • What did Bogeul look like before it puffed up?
  • What happens to your body when you're startled?

Take it further

Puff out your cheeks to make a round Bogeul face. Face a friend and see who can make the funniest pufferfish expression.

Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
