Coloring order
- Color Ray's wide, wing-like body in deep navy or blue, and leave the lighter belly area a pale beige.

- Color the crowded coral and seaweed below in pink, orange and purple, one piece at a time, and fill in the school of fish up top last.
Questions to talk about
- Whose wings does Ray's body look like?
- How do you think it feels to glide through the water as if flying?
- Have you ever flown a kite or a paper airplane? How did it fly?
Take it further
Fold a paper airplane with extra-wide wings like Ray's and fly it. Try changing the wing width and compare how far each one goes.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
