Coloring order

  1. Color the two giant stone hands holding up Golden Bridge in gray and light green, mixing a little moss green onto the knuckles.
  2. Paint the winding bridge deck in wood brown and the railings on both sides in yellow or gold, running them along its whole length.
  3. Last, color the thin supports under the bridge and the rock mass beneath the hands in gray and brown.

Questions to talk about

  • Giant hands hold up the bridge. What kind of giant do you think they belong to?
  • If you took a photo in the middle of the bridge, what pose would you strike?
  • What does a bridge in your neighborhood look like? Can you describe it?

Take it further

Fold thick paper long and bendy into a winding bridge, cut two paper hands to hold it up, and see if a small toy can cross.

Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
