Coloring order
- On the map of Brazil, color the wide land green like the flag above, pushing your crayon sideways to fill the space inside the line.
- Use the tip of your pencil on the wiggly edges, a little at a time, then lay it flat to fill in the wide areas.
- Try alternating two or three shades of green for a speckled forest look, and dot on a few yellow spots from the flag.
Questions to talk about
- Does this land look like the biggest one we have seen so far?
- What kinds of animals might live in this green land?
- Do you remember how many shades of green you saw in a forest or a park?
Take it further
Cut several leaf shapes from green paper, overlap them on the map, and draw an imaginary animal peeking out between the leaves.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.

Printing and coloring tips
- Print on A4 or Letter in portrait to keep the original proportions.
