Coloring order
- Leave most of the fluffy alpaca's cream wool uncolored or tint it very lightly, and color the pink flower on its head and the insides of the ears.
- Color the purple armchair, the heart cushion and the striped scarf on its lap, alternating pink and lime one stripe at a time.
- Take your time filling the yarn basket, the blue and yellow yarn balls on the rug, the teacup and plant on the little table, and the smiling cloud with many colors.
Questions to talk about
- Who do you think this scarf is a gift for?
- What color scarf would the balls of yarn like to become?
- If you made your own scarf, what pattern would you give it?
Take it further
Color stripes on a paper scarf and glue on yarn scraps, then wrap it around a stuffed alpaca like the one knitting its scarf in the picture.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
