Coloring order
- Start with the big gown: pink on top, and cream for the many ruffled layers below.
- Then color the rose crown on her head, her smiling face and the rose arch above the castle gate in red and pink.
- Finish the pointed tower roofs and flags, the trees and rose bushes on both sides, and the fluttering butterflies.
Questions to talk about
- Who might Princess Rozela welcome to her rose kingdom today?
- What picture would you draw on the flags on top of the towers?
- Have you ever smelled a rose? What was it like?
Take it further
Cut a paper strip to fit your head, tape it into a ring and glue on drawn roses to make a flower crown like Rozela's.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
