Activity guide for this page
- Recommended age
- Ages 4–7
- Estimated time
- 20–30 min
- Difficulty
- Easy
- Areas to color
- about 110
Coloring order
- Color the wide sky behind the CN Tower light blue and the grassy hill below green first, since they are the biggest areas.
- Give the waving child's red knit hat and jacket, blue pants and brown boots one color each.
- Finish with the round pod partway up the tower, the thin antenna, the city buildings behind and the orange leaves of the tree on the right.
Questions to talk about
- Who do you think the child is waving hello to?
- What do you think is inside the round part in the middle of the tower?
- How does it feel to go outside in a warm hat and scarf on a chilly day?
Take it further
Fold red paper and cut out a maple-leaf shape, then compare it with the leaf on the child's scarf. Can you cut a bigger one and a smaller one?
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
