- Estimated time
- 25–35 min

- Medium
- Areas to color
- about 130
Coloring order
- Start with the sky behind Belem Tower and the sea in front of it, using two blues and covering the big areas first.
- Color the girl's red headscarf and skirt, black vest and white apron one at a time, and pick any color for the little flower she holds.
- Last, color the zigzag wall along the top of the tower, the small windows and the sailboat, and alternate two colors on the floor tiles.
Questions to talk about
- What kinds of ships might pass by if you looked out to sea from the tower?
- Who do you think the girl wants to give her little flower to?
- Have you ever been to the seaside? What did you do there?
Take it further
Draw the sea and a sailboat next to the tower. Decide which way the wind blows, then tilt the sail that way.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
