Coloring order
- Color the big dome in the middle of the Taj Mahal and its walls softly: keep them white and add only light gray or pale blue shadows.
- Make the inside of the tall central archway and the smaller arches beside it a step darker, and use blue or teal for the patterns around them.
- Last, color the slim towers at both ends, the small round pavilions on the roof and the pointed golden tip at the top.
Questions to talk about
- What fruit or object does the big round dome remind you of?
- How would it feel to walk inside the tall arch?
- If you could give someone you love a really huge gift, what would it be?
Take it further
Pick one small pattern, like a flower or a star, and repeat it along an arch-shaped border to decorate an arch of your own design.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
