Coloring order

  1. Color the two side-by-side towers in blue and silver-gray, using the same order on each so they look like twins.
  2. Color the bridge joining the two towers, the wide building at the bottom and the round plaza floor in front in pale gray and beige.
  3. Last, color the waving boy's black cap, green shirt and yellow checked wrap, then the trees at both sides.

Questions to talk about

  • What kinds of conversations might people have up on the bridge between the towers?
  • How does a building with two towers feel different from one with a single tower?
  • Have you ever stood side by side with a friend and waved together?

Take it further

Stand two cardboard tubes side by side and join them midway with a paper-strip bridge. What will it take to keep both towers standing straight?

Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
