- Estimated time
- 40–60 min

- Challenging
- Areas to color
- about 310
Coloring order
- Start with the big crescent moon, the little stars and the bunny's yellow lantern in matching warm yellows so moonlight spreads.
- Leave the bunny's white fur as plain paper, tint just the insides of its ears pink, then color the red-and-cream striped scarf one band at a time.
- Last, do the golden sheaves of grain on both sides, the orange pumpkins, the faraway house, the stone path and the maple leaves.
Questions to talk about
- What stories might the bunny and squirrel share on the moonlit path?
- Who do you think lives in the little house far away?
- Have you ever looked up at the moon or stars at night?
Take it further
Cut a crescent moon and stars from yellow paper and glue them on dark blue paper to make your own night sky. Draw a bunny in the middle.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
