Balanced meals and water Coloring Pages
4 food coloring pages on balanced meals and water from the food balance wheel. The colors are clear, so they are good for learning color names, and each food comes as a pair: a color reference and black-and-white line art to print. Handy for nutrition lessons and for talking about picky eating.

Ways to use this collection
This pair of pages covers a balanced meal and water: a healthy lunch tray divided into compartments for rice, fruit, broccoli and carrots, and meat, plus a glass of ice water with a waving water-drop friend beside it. Together they make it easy to talk about what a whole meal looks like and why a drink of water belongs with it.
Activity ideas
- Choose a color for each compartment, such as white rice, green broccoli, orange carrots and brown meat, then draw today's lunch on a blank tray and compare the two.
- Add a speech bubble for the water-drop friend and let each child write what it might say when someone takes a sip of water.
- Show the tray page before lunch and quiz the children on what will go in each compartment, then compare their guesses with the real lunch tray.
Tip The divided tray is easy for young children to color section by section, and both pages together fit in 20 to 30 minutes right before or after lunch.
